So today, I was watching some old DB5K performances on the widescreen and mum walked passed then Junsu starting singing then she sat down and was just starting at the screen. Then it finished and she starting whacking me and was all ‘More! More! Show me more!’ So I did and here are a couple of lines that she said 

• “Wow! Their harmonisation! Wow, Kaye wow!!!”
• “I like what they are wearing, very formal. That’s a very nice suit”
• About Jaejoong, first glance: “He looks like a girl, a very pretty one”
• About all of them: “I like that they are all handsome but are all distinct and they are very charming.”
• Watching the Doushite music video: “Why are they all so handsome?!‘ 
• “I used to be fluent in Japanese” 
• “I wish they sung more in English”
• While watching some Gayo Daejun special: “WOW LOOK AT THAT STAGE!”
• “Australia is so behind”
• About Yunho: “He looks like J”  (my close family friend)
• Basically ‘Wow’ x 100 during a Love In the Ice live. 
• “I want to watch more!”

Basically, a fangirl in the making. OMG OTL She likes Junsu + Jaejoong’s voices the most. We went through various DB5K videos for at least 2 hours. LOL!

Brings back memories. I REALLY LOVE THESE SONGS and its for a freaking phone advertisement. I guess it helps that is has some of my favourite singers in it. Tablo, Junsu, Boa and JinBora <3

I’m no expert on musicals, but I’ve watched and dissected enough to have a standard. Junsu is really something else. For someone who isn’t formally trained, he is exceptional in how he conveys the emotion and for how he carries an entire play. I’ve watched a second fancam of an alternate actor, and while he definitely was stronger in technique than Junsu, I did not get remotely the same feelings from him, and I would pick the one who makes me feel over the one who can sing better any day, since that is one of the functions of a musical - for a singer to express the feels of a story with their whole being.

While Junsu’s technique is definitely not as good as those who have spent years being formally trained (a little soft, volume not strong enough, not crisp enough with the projection and enunciation) that’s easily trainable for a prodigy like him - he already has everything else he needs to be a top musical actor. So really, he is exceptional, and I hope to see him go far and continue picking up amazing projects.

Added Note: Something that is also interesting to note that Junsu is truly good on his own merits. He himself was surprised by the opportunity to do a musical of this scale so early in his career, and was very grateful for the chance to do so.
